Each and every module is designed with a strict commitment to accessibility and compatibility. Most of the hardware utilized in our designs is common and easily sourced while custom components of the system can be fabricated completely from scratch with our CAD files we have made available for free. Running on versatile, industry standard WLED, Art-NET, and sACN data protocols, the PETAL system can be integrated into any existing lighting rig and applied to any creative project.
Inception of our novel design approach began with Jeff's simple yet elegant cable spool, featuring a structural upward-facing socket and sturdy aluminum assembly. Paired with a controller that delivers power and data through a single cable, this module enables a speedy setup completely free from tripod stands or cable mess.
The brain houses a QuinLED-Dig-Octa stack providing reliable power distribution and data management to run an array of addressable LEDs. Built out of 1/8" thick Aluminum, this compact yet powerful module is an ideal hub to build your light show around.
600 watts are distributed at 24 volts to 8 channels each with a 10 amp fuse
A global max of between 2000 and 3000 pixels can be driven by the ESP32 processor with a per channel max of approximately 600 pixels. Pixel mapping can be done locally using the WLED browser app or by sending DMX data over ethernet.
We currently offer 2 official fixture designs: the stacker tubes and the XLR tubes. Both contain 1 meter of addressable RGBW COB leds mounted on an aluminum channel with a diffuser serving as the housing. The stacker comes as a pair that can be plugged into the spool to form a seemless freestanding 2m vertical tube of light. The XLR tube simply plugs direclty into the brain using a standard XLR or 3 pin DMX cable, and is ideal for hanging or rigging to truss.
